2018 Arabian Jackpot Show - WOW!! What a show!

Many people are still talking about the amazing Arabian Jackpot Show that was held over the long weekend of June 2nd and 3rd at the State Equestrian Center in Brigadoon. This show is run and organised by the independent team at the Australasia Pacific Arabian Horse Organisation (APAHO Assoc. Inc.). Their very first show held back in 2016 at Claremont was highly successful in promoting the Australian Arabian horse globally and this years event was no exception with an even bigger and better two day show on offer. The Arabian Jackpot is well known Australia wide as being 'The high profile Arabian show' with its unmatched lavish trophy's, international top level judges, cash jackpot classes, full production live-streaming and its social entertainment aliments its easy to see why. The show this year attracted over Ninety Arabian horse exhibits and over Eighty guest at the sold out after party along with an impressive list of show sponsors who all come on board to make this 2018 event happen.

The competitors arrived at the venue to be marveled by the extravagant arena setup with full arena wrap signage, multiple wine barrels that where each adorned in fresh red rose bouquets along with an impressive large white marquee fully lit with hundreds of fairy lights and gorgeous large Arabic candle lit lanterns that sat on top of formal tables set in beautiful black and white silks. Competitors received their show packages that contained all their necessary paperwork along with engraved pens and keepsake key rings as a small thank you from the organizer for attending. The opening act for the show on Saturday was the brilliant trick riders from 'Girls Girls Girls WA' with their beautiful Arabian and Arabian bred trick horse team, totally smashing any myth people might of heard or had towards the Arabian horse. This was then followed by all the ridden divisions on the program and some of the highlight classes of the evening included the 'Newcomers Silver Snaffle' a $100 cash class and this went to the Champion Leah Reed with Fawley Spirituelle, the Open Ridden Sweepstakes class with a $700 cash prize went to the Champion Nelli Zar with  Robali Symphony, the Purebred Ridden Jackpot class of $385 was awarded to the winner Alex Stotter and her mare Top Fancy Carina, then the Derivative Ridden Jackpot Class of $385 went to the winner Peta Bizzill and Tandara Gold-n-Presence. The Jackpot classes in the ridden also awarded beautiful garland sashes, wide sashes, wine glasses and stunning engraved silver and gold trophy trays.

Sunday morning saw the start of all the halter classes and these included the new Breeders Cup awards, the Purebred Breeders Cup was awarded to Viserion KS owned and bred by Christie Boyland of Kingsbury Stud. The Derivative Breeders Cup was awarded to the Arabian Pony Mystic Valley Paparazzi owned and bred by Emma Ostigh.  Next was the Junior Arabian Jackpot classes with the Junior Derivative Halter Jackpot $385 being awarded to the weanling Arabian Pony Ajay Fireworks with Michelle Michon and the Junior Purebred Halter Jackpot $385 going to Viserion KS the purebred weanling colt with owner Christie Boyland.

Before the seniors commenced the international judges Terry Holmes from the USA and Dr. Marc Somerhausen of Belgium had a well deserved hour lunch break to restore themselves before heading in to the senior judging.  During this break in the program the lovely Belinda Harrison conducted a wonderful entertaining talk on confidence with women in horses including a fun liberty float loading demonstration.

Sunday afternoon the crowd started to gather for the Senior Jackpot Classes, these classes are for the best of the best and they where about to be showcased live around the globe and they did not disappoint the viewers with their spectacular presence and their excited snort and blow attitudes. The Senior Derivative Halter Jackpot $385 winner went to the stunning colourful half Arabian 'Le'skelle Lodge Imso Hot' and the really exciting part about this win is that in 2016 the sire of Imso Hot 'Springfield Park Tylah' also won this same title. The derivative Jackpot Runner Up award went to the superstar show pony Wendamar Nibbles owned by Shushanna Kingham.  The Senior Purebred Halter Jackpot $385 winner went to the stunning purebred stallion Mystica Santosa owned by Noran Arabians with the Runner Up award going to the crowd pleasing showoff mare Amber MI and owner Kylie Rees.

Thank you to all the product sponsors for being apart of the 2018 Arabian Jackpot Show and to the financial sponsors; Koojan Hills Performance Arabians, Arabella Park Arabians, Khizmeht Arabians, JJ Service & Industrial, West Australian Arabian Horse Association, Caballo Arabe, Torquata Arabians, Louise Bingley, Westfield Park and Latika Lodge for generously contributing funds so this show could be held in an unforgettable way for the benefit of competitors, breeders and most importantly the Arabian horses of Western Australia.
